Airfield Festival 2026
The popular Oerlinghausen Airfield Festival will take place again this year on the first weekend in September. There’s plenty to see and do covering all aspects of air sports.
WHEN AND WHERE?
- Saturday, September 5, 2026: Starts at 10:00 a.m.; evening program ends around 11:00 p.m.
- Sunday, September 6, 2026: Starts at 10:00 a.m., ends around 6:00 p.m.
The event grounds are located at the Oerlinghausen Airfield:
Stukenbrocker Weg 43, 33813 Oerlinghausen
Access is via the entrance next to the control tower. Admission is free!
Program
- On both days, there will be special flight demonstrations, such as aerobatics with gliders
- Of course, model airplane enthusiasts will be there as well
- Local clubs and the gliding school will be introducing themselves and look forward to welcoming many interested visitors
- For a fee, visitors can take a ride in gliders, motor gliders, and powered aircraft, flown by pilots from the clubs based at the airfield
- For our younger visitors, there will be a large bounce house, among other attractions
- Numerous food and beverage vendors will be on hand
GETTING THERE
By Car
- A large number of parking spaces are available directly on the grounds. A parking fee applies.
By public transportation, bike, or on foot
- Bus line 34 stops right at the fairgrounds. At night, take the N15.
- From the Asemissen train station, take bus No. 39 to Oerlinghausen Marktplatz, then transfer to bus No. 34
- Bicycle parking areas are located near the event area
By private plane
- Travel by plane is possible
